Snapvideo.org respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. It is our policy to respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”).
1. Important Disclaimer: No Content Hosting
Before submitting a DMCA notice, please acknowledge that Snapvideo.org does not host any copyrighted content on its servers.
- Our website is strictly a technical tool allowing users to download media from publicly available sources for personal use (time-shifting).
- All videos, images, or audio files are hosted on the respective third-party platforms (e.g., Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, etc.).
- Snapvideo.org has no control over, and assumes no liability for, the content found on these third-party platforms.
- We cannot “remove” a video from the internet because we do not host it. If you want the content removed permanently, you must contact the original hosting platform (the social media site where the video is posted).
However, if you believe that our tool is being used to facilitate copyright infringement of your work, we can disable access to the specific URL via our service upon a valid request.
2. DMCA Takedown Notice Procedure
If you are a copyright owner or an agent thereof and believe that any content accessible via Snapvideo.org infringes upon your copyrights, you may submit a notification pursuant to the DMCA by providing our Copyright Agent with the following information in writing:
- Identification of the copyrighted work: A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the infringing material: The specific URL(s) on Snapvideo.org or the direct link to the content that you claim is infringing, which you wish to have blocked or disconnected.
- Contact Information: Your address, telephone number, and an email address where we can contact you.
- Good Faith Belief Statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy Statement: A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Signature: A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
3. Submit a Notice
You can send your DMCA Takedown Notice to our designated Copyright Agent via email:

Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability.
4. Counter-Notice
If you believe that your content was disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice with us. To be effective, a Counter-Notification must be in writing and include the following:
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if you are outside of the United States, that you consent to jurisdiction of any judicial district in which the service provider may be found).
- Your physical or electronic signature.
5. Repeat Infringers
Snapvideo.org reserves the right to terminate access to its services for users who are found to be repeat infringers.
